It takes an extraordinary person to live in this country and an extraordinarily stubborn one to try to change it. I am hoping my being a stubborn person will do good and make a difference in raising awareness and alleviating poverty. My site is for those who wish to be stubborn and defy the norm in this country. A country that has lived in abnormality for so long that it has become the norm. I do this for the children, the urban and rural poor communities I work on and for the love of the Philippines. Why leave when there's just so much to be done here?

I saw this picture on Facebook on one of my friend’s walls. It touched me to see the old woman and the signage on her back. I was afraid to click it because I might cry but I did. This is what Mark Pineda posted:

Such a sad, painful but inspiring story. Inspiring to see this old woman looking for her spouse. A story of real, unconditional love. I feel her pain. I felt that it was nice of Mark Pineda to do this for Lola Auring and Lola Matias. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely just wanted to help and prayed that God would take care of it,no matter what the outcome. This is what helping people unconditionally is all about.
Mark Pineda: “How I wish I can get the credits out of this… but all I did was to share the story. We all have the instinct to help people. The only thing that stops us from doing such is the thought of that it could be just a waste of our time.”
Truly, all it takes is a little time and effort. All it takes is to share the story to help others. We may not be able to help them but someone, somewhere could.
Sometimes we fear that our efforts would be for naught or even we fear that we may be scammed or be put in harms way. We would never know unless we tried. We give people the opportunity and the chance but what they do with it or the outcome is sometimes beyond our control.
MP: “I was very positive about the outcome and was always praying that lolo would be found. It’s the best gift anyone can give to lola this Christmas.”
People can still surprise us. People still have inner good and more often than not, willing to help.
“I was very happy that a lot of people reacted on this the positive way. They shared and gave time to report in order to help other people.Lastly, I was very happy lolo was found, although I wasnt able to watch the story last night at GMA.”

Thank you to TonTonPapaTFC for YouTube link.
So Lola Auring and Lolo Luis find each other. Two people who loved each other for a lifetime and unconditionally. They too found Mark who loved and helped unconditionally.
May we all keep our hearts and minds open to help the way he did. Thank you,Mark Pineda and many others who just reshared the story to help a beautiful, loving couple.
